Replace all your teeth with fixed implants
All-on-X dental implants are a long-term solution for patients who are missing most or all of their teeth. The X refers to using a small number of strategically placed implants - you may have heard of All-on-4 or All-on-6. With this approach, we can support a full set of fixed teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth.
Unlike removable dentures, All-on-X provides a secure, stable solution that allows you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

All-on-X may be suitable if you:
Each case is carefully assessed using 3D imaging to determine suitability.

This approach is designed to restore both function and aesthetics in a predictable way.

We carry out a detailed examination, including 3D CBCT scanning, to assess bone levels and plan implant placement precisely.
A customised plan is created based on your anatomy, smile goals, and functional needs. You will receive a care letter that you can take away and consider in your own time. We can then discuss this further if you wish.
A small number of implants (typically 4-8 per arch) are placed in carefully selected positions for maximum support.
In many cases, a fixed temporary bridge can be fitted shortly after implant placement, allowing you to leave with a functional smile. Quite often this can be done on the same day.
Over the following months, the implants bond with the bone. The gum and bone will naturally shrink; once this happens we are ready to create the final bridge.
A bespoke, long-term bridge is fitted, designed for durability, aesthetics, and comfort. You will have input on how you would like it to look so that you are happy with the final appearance.

The overall process typically takes several months from implant placement to final teeth. In some cases, temporary fixed teeth can be provided much sooner. Accurate timelines will be provided to you after we have carried out your consultation.

At Tavistock Dental, All-on-X full arch treatment starts from £12,000 per arch.
Costs vary depending on the complexity of the case, materials used, and whether additional procedures (such as bone grafting) are required.
We provide a full breakdown of costs following your consultation, along with available finance options where appropriate. For more detail, see our dental implant costs page.

Is the procedure painful?
Implant placement is carried out under local anaesthetic, and sedation options may be available. Most patients report manageable discomfort after the procedure.
How long do All-on-X implants last?
With proper care and maintenance, implants can last many years. The final bridge may require maintenance or replacement over time. The aim of a thorough consultation is to identify any issues that could affect the longevity of your treatment and advise of your suitability.
Can I have this treatment if I have bone loss?
In many cases, yes. The All-on-X approach is specifically designed to maximise the use of available bone, and may reduce the need for grafting.
Will I be without teeth during treatment?
In many cases, temporary fixed teeth can be provided shortly after implant placement. Quite often they can be provided on the same day.
How do I clean All-on-X implants?
You will be shown how to clean around your implants using specialised brushes and hygiene techniques. Regular maintenance visits are important.
What if I currently wear dentures?
All-on-X is commonly used to replace dentures with a fixed alternative, offering significantly improved comfort and function. We would assess the fit and shape of your dentures and advise whether All-on-X or denture stabilisation would be better for you.
How much do All-on-X implants cost?
At Tavistock Dental, All-on-X full arch treatment starts from £12,000 per arch. Final costs depend on the complexity of your case and any additional procedures needed. We'll always provide a written treatment plan so you know the full cost before committing, and we offer interest-free finance through Chrysalis and Tabeo.
